The Michelada is a Mexican classic beer cocktail that you'll find hard to resist. But what exactly is a Michelada, you might be wondering if you've never visited Mexico before.

A Michelada is sometimes compared to a Bloody Mary, but instead of vodka a Michelada comes with beer; not just any beer, but rather a light Mexican beer. They each receive their red tints thanks to their pairing with tomato juice or Clamato juice, the commercial drink made of reconstituted tomato juice concentrate and sugar.
It starts out with a chili powdered and/or salted rimmed glass, and combines fresh lime juice and Clamato juice with a hint of hot sauce such Tabasco sauce, and Maggi sauce or Worcestershire sauce. Last but not least, we add a light Mexican beer such as a Modelo, a Corona, or a Tecate among others.
Micheladas are rather simple to prepare and are perfect for any brunch or afternoon under the sun or at the beach. At Mexicana we've got you covered! Come anytime in the day and enjoy a bracing Michelada with one of your favorite Mexican beers!
